Definitely sturdy. I bought two of these, one for top and bottom of a set of stairs. It took me less than 10 minutes for me to set them up, it was really easy. It isn't all that easy to open these with one hand, some will be able to do it, some not so much. I'd highly recommend these to anyone looking to purchase gates like these at a good price.

Works great and keeps my dogs from going in the back end of the house. Have another one to keep them out of the living room as well. The latch may be a little hard to open for people with arthritis or problems with their hands, so we do not "lock" them down, but just bring them down to they are almost fully latched and have not had a problem yet.

There is only one room in our house that we wish to keep our small dog out of and this gate is perfect. We didn't want to just close the door to that room for air circulation and light purposes. However, this allows us to easily go in and out of the room but keeps her out. It fits in the door frame tight enough that it will withstand being knocked against by larger dogs but if they can jump it probably won't help!

I use it to keep my animals out of certain areas in my home. Easy to install and use. This product holds it own, handles children hanging on it and a very strong persistent pig pushing on it to try and get through. Very pleased with this product, have it for months now.
